Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said: ‘I have created a creation whose tongues are sweeter than sugar, but their hearts are bitterer than aloe. By Me, I swear I will afflict them with a trial that will leave the forbearing among them bewildered. Do they deceive Me or dare against Me?’”
