Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “I only fear for my nation the misguiding leaders. When the sword is placed among my nation, it will not be lifted 1 from them until the Day of Resurrection.”

٥١٩٣ - وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّمَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي الْأَئِمَّةَ الْمُضِلَّينَ وَإِذَا وُضِعَ السَّيْفُ فِي أُمَّتِي لَمْ يُرْفَعْ1 عَنْهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ». رَوَاهُ أَبُوْ دَاوُدَ وَالتَّرْمِذِيُّ.

سیدنا ثوبان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ
صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں میری امت پر گمراہ کرنے والے ائمہ کا اندیشہ کرتا ہوں، اور جب
میری امت میں تلوار چلے گی تو قیامت تک ان سے اٹھائی نہیں جائے گی2۔ (ابوداؤد و ترمذی)۔
