Hadith 5383

(1) His statement: “The slogan of the believers…”: Like a sign in war or travel, this phrase is a marker by which they are known as believers. (As stated in Al-Lama’at) It is possible that the slogan of the believers is the prophets’ supplication on their behalf, supported by At-Tabarani’s narration from Ibn Umar: “The slogan of my nation when they are carried over the Sirat is: ‘O You, there is no god but You.’” It can be reconciled by saying that this is specific to this nation, while the former is for other nations. The more apparent meaning is that “O Lord, grant safety, grant safety” is the slogan of the perfected believers among the scholars, martyrs, and righteous who hold the station of intercession, following the prophets and messengers. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)

(۱) قوله: شعار المؤمنين إلخ ككتاب العلامة في الحرب والسفر، وهذه الكلمة علامة المؤمنين، به يعرفون أنهم مؤمنون. قاله في اللمعات». وقال في المرقاة»: ويمكن أن يكون شعار المؤمنين قول الأنبياء في حقهم هذا الدعاء، ويؤيده ما رواه الطبراني عن ابن عمر : وشعار أمتي إذا حملوا على الصراط يا لا إله إلا أنت. ويمكن الجمع بأن هذا من خصوصيات هذه الأمة، والأول لسائر الأمم، والأظهر أن قوله: رب سلم سلم إنما هو من شعار المؤمنين الكاملين من العلماء العالمين والشهداء الصالحين ممن لهم مقام الشفاعة تبعا للأنبياء والمرسلين.
