Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked: “What is Al-Kawthar?” He said: “It is a river 1 Allah has given me in Paradise, whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, with birds whose necks are like those of camels.” Umar said, “That is indeed delightful.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Eating them is more delightful than that.”

٥٤٢٤ - وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا الْكَوْثَرُ؟ قَالَ: «ذَاكَ نَهْرٌ أَعْطَانِيهِ اللهُ - يَعْنِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ - أَشَدُّ بَيَاضًا مِنَ اللَّبَنِ، وَأَحْلَى مِنَ الْعَسَلِ، فِيهِ طَيْرُ أَعْنَاقُهَا كَأَعْنَاقِ الْجُزْرِ قَالَ عُمَرُ: إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَنَاعِمَةٌ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «أَكَلَتُهَا أَنْعَمُ مِنْهَا». رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ.

سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے فرمایا: حضرت
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے دریافت کیا گیا کوثر کیا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا وہ
ایک نہر ہے 2 جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے عطا فرمائی ہے یعنی جنت میں، وہ دودھ سے زیادہ سفید اور شہد
سے زیادہ شیریں ہے، اس میں ایسے پرندے ہیں جن کی گردنیں اونٹوں کی گردنوں کی طرح ہیں،
عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ یہ ضرور عمدہ ہوں گے، حضرت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد
فرمایا: اس کا کھانا اس سے زیادہ عمدہ ہے۔ (ترمذی)۔
