Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took my hand and said: “Allah created the soil on Saturday 1, created the mountains on Sunday, created the trees on Monday, created the disliked things on Tuesday, created the light on Wednesday, spread the creatures in it on Thursday, and created Adam (peace be upon him) after the afternoon on Friday, as the last of creation, in the final hour of the day, in the time 2 between the afternoon and the night.”

Note 1
(1) His statement: “Allah created the soil on Saturday”: The intended meaning is the end of the day, referred to as the evening of Sunday, so it aligns with its ruling. This does not contradict Allah’s statement: “And We created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and no weariness touched Us” [Qaf: 38]. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
Note 2
(2) His statement: “in the time between the afternoon and the night”: This is the hour favored for the acceptance of supplications on Friday according to a group of scholars. (As stated in Al-Mirqat) And it is said in Ad-Durr al-Mukhtar: The hour of acceptance is at the time of the afternoon prayer, as held by the scholars, as mentioned in At-Tatarkhaniyya.
Note 1
