Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) seeking food, so he gave him half a wasq of barley. The man, his wife, and their guest kept eating from it until he measured it. He came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, “If you had not measured it, you would have eaten from it, and it would have sufficed you.”

٥٦٦٣ - وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ (رضي الله عنه) أَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ يَسْتَطْعِمُهُ فَأَطْعَمَهُ شَطْرَ وَسْقِ شَعِيرٍ، فَمَا زَالَ الرَّجُلُ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ وَامْرَأَتُهُ وَضَيْفُهُمَا حَتَّى كَالَهُ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: لَوْ لَمْ تَكِلْهُ لَأَكَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ، وَلَقَامَ لَكُمْ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

پاس ایک صاحب کھانا لانے آئے تو آپ نے انہیں آدھا وسق جو عطا فرمایا پس وہ شخص اور اس کی بیوی
اور ان کے مہمان اس میں سے کھاتے رہے یہاں تک کہ اس شخص نے اس کو ناپا تو وہ ختم ہوگیا اور وہ
شخص نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا تو آپ نے فرمایا اگر تم اس کو نہ ناپتے ہوتے تو اس میں
سے کھاتے ہی رہتے اور وہ تمہارے لئے ہمیشہ رہتا۔ (مسلم)۔
