Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Abu Bakr said to Umar after the passing of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): “Come, let us visit Umm Ayman as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to visit her.” When they reached her, she wept. They said to her: “What makes you weep? Do you not know that what is with Allah is better for His Messenger?” She said: 1 “I do not weep because I am unaware that what is with Allah is better for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), but I weep because revelation has ceased from the heavens.” She moved them to tears, and they began weeping with her.

Note 1
(1) Her statement “I do not weep because I am unaware”: with fathah on the hamzah, as it is the object of “I do not weep.” The meaning is: I do not weep for not knowing. Her statement “they began weeping with her”: weeping for this reason does not cease until the end of time. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
Note 1
