Abu Amir al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Excellent is the tribe of Asad and the Ash‘ariyyun; they do not flee 1 in battle nor do they misappropriate spoils. They are from me, and I am from them.”

٥٧٥٨ - وَعَنْ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: نِعْمَ الْحَيُّ الْأَسْدُ وَالْأَشْعَرِيُّونَ، لَا يَفِرُّونَ1 فِي الْقِتَالِ وَلَا يَغُلُّونَ، هُمْ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ». رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ.

حضرت ابو عامر اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے آپ نے کہا کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کتنے اچھے ہیں قبیلہ اسد اور اشعری لوگ وہ جنگ میں نہیں
بھاگتے(17) اور خیانت نہیں کرتے وہ مجھ سے ہیں اور میں ان سے ہوں۔ (ترمذی)
