Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) established brotherhood 1 among his companions. Ali came with tears in his eyes and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! You established brotherhood among your companions but did not make me a brother to anyone.’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: ‘You are my brother in this world and the Hereafter.’”

٥٨٤٧ - وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ (رضي الله عنهما) قَالَ: آخَى 1 رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ فَجَاءَ عَلَى تَدْمَعُ عَيْنَاهُ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ! أَخَيْتَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِكَ وَلَمْ تُؤَاخِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ أَحَدٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَهُ: «أَنْتَ أَخِي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ. رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ، وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثُ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ.
