From Aisha: She said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was presented with a child, and it urinated on his garment. He called for water and sprinkled it on it." Narrated by Bukhari, Nasai, and Muhammad]
And Tahaawi narrated a similar report, stating: "Sprinkling water on it is similar to washing. Do you not see that if a person’s garment is stained with impurity and they follow it with water until the impurity is removed, the garment becomes pure?"
