Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called Fatimah in the year of the conquest, 1 spoke to her privately, and she wept. Then he spoke to her again, and she laughed. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed away, I asked her about her weeping and laughing. She said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) informed me that he would leave this world, so I wept. Then he informed me that I am the leader of the women of the people of Paradise, except for Maryam (Mary)am bint Imran, so I laughed.

(1) The statement “in the year of the conquest”: It appears that this is a mistake, as it is not established among the biographers that this incident occurred in the year of the conquest. Rather, it was during the Farewell Pilgrimage or during his illness leading to his departure. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
