It is narrated from Malik ibn Al-Huwayrith (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to us: "Pray as you have seen me pray, and when the time for prayer comes, let one of you call the Adhan, and let the eldest among you lead the prayer."

ف: مرقات میں لکھا ہے کہ اس حدیث سے امامت کی اذان پر فضیلت ثابت ہوتی ہے کیوں کہ اذان دینے والے کیلئے کسی قسم کی شرط نہیں لگائی گئی اس کے برخلاف امام کیلئے بڑے ہونے کی شرط لگائی گئی ہے اور یہ امامت کے افضل ہونے کی واضح ترین دلیل ہے۔12
