It is narrated from 'Ata' ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "O Allah, do not make my grave an idol that is worshipped. Allah's wrath became severe against a people who took the graves of their prophets as places of worship."

٩٦٠ - وَعَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «اللهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْ قَبْرِي وَثَنَا يُعْبَدُ اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللهِ عَلَى قَوْمِ اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ». رَوَاهُ مَالِكُ مُرْسَلًا.

علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ اے اللہ میری قبر کو بت نہ بنا کہ اس کی پوجا کی جائے، اس قوم پر اللہ کا سخت
غضب ہے کہ جس نے اپنے انبیاء کی قبروں کو سجدہ گاہ بنایا ہے۔
(اس کی روایت امام مالک نے مرسلاً کی ہے۔)
