It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The rewards of my Ummah were shown to me, even the reward for removing a speck of dust from the mosque. The sins of my Ummah were also shown to me, and I did not see a sin greater than a Surah or a verse of the Qur'an that a man was given and then forgot."
