Abu Dharr narrated: "The Prophet ﷺ came out in winter, and the leaves were falling. He took two branches from a tree, and the leaves started falling. He ﷺ said: 'O Abu Dharr, when a Muslim prays, seeking the pleasure of Allah, his sins fall off just as these leaves fall from this tree.'"
Salman narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When a Muslim prays, his sins are lifted off his head, and every time he prostrates, they fall off. When he finishes his prayer, his sins are forgiven."
Uthman narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When a Muslim performs ablution and completes it, then enters into his prayer and completes it, he will come out of his prayer just as he comes out of his mother's womb, free from sins."
Zaid bin Khalid al-Juhani narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever prays two prostrations without any forgetfulness, Allah will forgive his past sins."
Ubada bin al-Samit narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Five prayers are obligatory upon you. Whoever does them with perfect ablution, prays them at their proper times, and completes their bowing and humility, Allah has made a covenant with him to forgive his sins. And whoever does not do so, then he has no covenant with Allah. If He wills, He will forgive him, and if He wills, He will punish him."
Ibn Mas'ud narrated: "I asked the Prophet ﷺ: 'Which deeds are most beloved to Allah?' He said: 'The prayer at its appointed time.' I then asked: 'What after that?' He replied: 'Being good to one's parents.' I asked again: 'What after that?' He replied: 'Jihad in the way of Allah.' He then told me these and said: 'If I had asked more, he would have added more.'"
Abu Darda narrated: "My friend (the Prophet ﷺ) advised me to never associate anything with Allah, even if I am cut up and burned, and not to intentionally leave a prescribed prayer. Whoever leaves it intentionally, then the protection (dhamma) is removed from him, and not to drink alcohol, for it is the key to every evil."
Anas narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: "There is nothing between a servant and polytheism except leaving the prayer. If he leaves it, he has committed shirk."
