Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
*"The first of the people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died as a martyr. He will be brought forward, and Allah will make known to him His favors, which he will recognize. Allah will ask, 'What did you do with them?' He will reply, 'I fought for Your cause until I was martyred.' Allah will say, 'You have lied. You fought so that it might be said: He is courageous. And it was said.' Then he will be ordered to be dragged on his face until he is thrown into the Fire.
Another will be a man who acquired knowledge, taught it, and recited the Qur’an. He will be brought forward, and Allah will make known to him His favors, which he will recognize. Allah will ask, 'What did you do with them?' He will reply, 'I acquired knowledge, taught it, and recited the Qur’an for Your sake.' Allah will say, 'You have lied. You acquired knowledge so that it might be said: He is learned, and you recited the Qur’an so that it might be said: He is a reciter. And it was said.' Then he will be ordered to be dragged on his face until he is thrown into the Fire.
Another will be a man whom Allah made wealthy and to whom He gave all kinds of wealth. He will be brought forward, and Allah will make known to him His favors, which he will recognize. Allah will ask, 'What did you do with them?' He will reply, 'I did not leave any way You like wealth to be spent except that I spent in it for Your sake.' Allah will say, 'You have lied. You did so that it might be said: He is generous. And it was said.' Then he will be ordered to be dragged on his face until he is thrown into the Fire." .
