Jabir reported: When the Prophet (ﷺ) began the prayer, he would say the Takbir and then say:
(Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds, who has no partner. With this, I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims. O Allah, guide me to the best of deeds and the best of character, for none guides to the best of them but You. Protect me from evil deeds and evil character, for none protects from them but You).

ف: اس حدیث میں ”وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ“ کے جو الفاظ مذکور ہیں وہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لئے خاص ہیں اس لئے اگر امتی یہ دعاء پڑھنا چاہے تو وہ ”أَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ“ کی بجائے ”أَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ“ پڑھے، البتہ قرآن کی تلاوت کر رہا ہو تو ”أَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ“ ہی پڑھنا چاہئے۔ (مرقات، اشعۃ اللمعات۔)
