It is narrated from al-Qasim ibn Mukhaymirah who said: "Alqamah took my hand and told me that Abdullah ibn Mas’ud took his hand, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took Abdullah’s hand and taught him the Tashahhud in prayer." [Narrated by Abu Dawud]
Our Imam Abu Hanifah narrated: "Hammad ibn Sulayman took my hand and taught me the Tashahhud. Hammad said: 'Ibrahim took my hand and taught me the Tashahhud.' Ibrahim said: 'Alqamah took my hand and taught me the Tashahhud.' Alqamah said: 'Abdullah ibn Mas’ud took my hand and taught me the Tashahhud.' Abdullah said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took my hand and taught me the Tashahhud as he taught me a Surah from the Quran.'" This was mentioned by Ibn al-Humam.

فرماتے ہیں کہ حماد بن سلیمان رحمہ اللہ علیہ نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر مجھے تشہد سکھایا اور حماد فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت ابراہیم نخعی رضی اللہ عنہ نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر مجھے تشہد سکھایا اور حضرت ابراہیم نخعی رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت علقمہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر مجھے تشہد سکھایا اور حضرت علقمہ فرماتے ہیں کہ عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر مجھے تشہد سکھایا اور عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر مجھے اس طرح تشہد سکھائے جس طرح حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہم کو قرآن کی سورتیں سکھایا کرتے تھے (یہ تشہد وہی ہے جو حدیث (دو حدیث پہلے ”حضرت ابن مسعودؓ کی منقولہ التحیات کے عنوان سے گزری ہے“) میں مذکور ہے۔ امام ابن الہمام نے اس کو بیان کیا ہے۔)
