It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that they went with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to the grave of Sad ibn Muadh when he passed away. When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prayed for him and placed him in his grave, and when the grave was leveled, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) made tasbih (glorified Allah), and we also made tasbih for a long time. Then he said takbir (Allahu Akbar), and we followed him in saying takbir. It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, why did you make tasbih and then say takbir?" He replied: "The grave of this righteous servant of Allah was constricted, but Allah relieved it for him." [Narrated by Ahmad)

۱۲۸ - وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَادٍ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ، فَلَمَّا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَوُضِعَ فِي قَبْرِهِ، وَسُوِّيَ عَلَيْهِ، سَبَّحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَبَّحْنَا طَوِيلًا ، ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ فَكَبَّرَنَا، فَقِيلَ: يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ، لِمَ سَبَّحْتَ ثُمَّ كَبَّرَتَ؟ قَالَ: لَقَدْ تَضَايَقَ عَلَى هَذَا الْعَبْدِ الصَّالِحِ قَبْرُهُ، حَتَّى فَرَّجَهُ اللهُ عَنْهُ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ.

جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ
وسلم کے ساتھ سعد بن معاذ رضی اللہ عنہ کے جنازہ میں گئے جب کہ وہ انتقال کر گئے تھے جب نبی کریم
صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ”سُبْحَانَ اللّٰه“ فرمایا تو ہم بھی دیر تک سُبْحَانَ اللّٰه پڑھتے رہے، پھر آپ
نے ”اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ“ فرمایا تو ہم نے بھی اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ کہا، پس اس کے بعد آپ سے دریافت کیا گیا کہ کس
لئے آپ نے تسبیح پھر تکبیر کہی تو فرمایا کہ تحقیق اس نیک بندے پر زمین تنگ ہوگئی یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ
نے اس تنگی کو دور فرما دیا۔ (امام احمد نے اس کی روایت کی ہے)۔
