Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), who reported that Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) would recite the following two supplications in Qunut:
"O Allah, we seek Your help. O Allah, You alone we worship."

١٦٦٤ - وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ (رضي الله عنه) ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَابِ (رضي الله عنه) كَانَ يَقْنُتُ بِالسُّوْرَتَيْنِ: اللهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْتَعِيْنُكَ، اللهُمَّ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ. رَوَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَالطَّحَاوِيُّ.
