Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) during travel would delay Zuhr and hasten Asr, delay Maghrib and hasten Isha." [Narrated by Al-Tahawi, Ahmad, and Al-Hakim with a Hasan chain]
In a narration by Ahmad and Ibn Abi Shaybah: "The Prophet (ﷺ) would delay Zuhr and hasten Asr, delay Maghrib and hasten Isha during travel."
The narrator Mughirah ibn Ziyad was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ma’in and Abu Zur’ah.
Al-Allamah Al-Ayni explained: "This does not mean praying both in the time of Isha, but delaying Maghrib to its latest time, then praying it, followed by Isha. This is a form of combination, not a time combination."
