Jundub ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "I attended the Eid al-Adha sacrifice with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). After he finished the prayer and said the tasleem, he saw that some sacrificial meat had been slaughtered before he finished the prayer. He said, 'Whoever slaughtered before praying or before we prayed, let them slaughter another in its place.'" 1
In another narration: "The Prophet (ﷺ) prayed on the day of Eid, delivered the sermon, and then slaughtered. He said, 'Whoever slaughtered before praying, let them slaughter another in its place, and whoever has not slaughtered, let them slaughter in the name of Allah.'"
