Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"There is no Far’ (firstborn animal sacrifice) or Atirah (sacrifice in Rajab)." He explained, "The Far’ was the first offspring of their livestock, which they used to sacrifice for their idols, and the Atirah was a sacrifice in Rajab."

۱۹۱۸ - عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ (رضي الله عنه) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «لَا فَرْعَ وَلَا عَتِيْرَةَ قَالَ: وَالْفَرْعُ أَوَّلُ نِتَاجٍ كَانَ يُنْتَجُ لَهُمْ ، كَانُوا يَذْبَحُوْنَهُ لِطَوَاغِيْتِهِمْ، وَالْعَتِيْرَةُ فِي رَجَبَ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے۔ وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ
وآلہ وسلم ارشاد فرماتے ہیں کہ: فرع اور عتیرہ اب باقی نہ رہے، یہ دونوں منسوخ کر دئے گئے ہیں۔
(کوئی مسلمان ان دونوں کو خواہ نیت کسی ہی خالصاً لِلّٰہ ہو نہ کرے۔) اس حدیث کی روایت بخاری
اور مسلم نے متفقہ طور پر کی ہے۔
