Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah, the Exalted, said: 'The son of Adam offends Me by abusing time, and I am time. In My Hand is the command; I alternate the night and the day.'"

٢٠ - وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: يُؤْذِينِي ابْنُ آدَمَ، يَسُبُّ الدَّهْرَ وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ، بِيَدِي الْأَمْرُ، أُقَلِّبُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ زمانہ کو بُرا کہہ کر انسان مجھے ایذا دیتا ہے، حالانکہ زمانہ میں ہی
ہوں، میرے ہی ہاتھ میں حکومت ہے، رات اور دن کو میں ہی بدلتا رہتا ہوں۔
(بخاری و مسلم نے بالاتفاق اس کی روایت کی ہے۔)
