Khalad ibn As-Sa’ib narrated from his father (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Jibril came to me and commanded me to order my Companions to raise their voices in Talbiyah." [Narrated by Malik, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, and Darimi]
In Daruqutni’s narration from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "When the Prophet (ﷺ) intended to enter Ihram, he washed his head with lotus leaves and ushnan (soapwort), then oiled it."
Muslim’s narration from Nafi’ cites Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) with the same Talbiyah, adding that Ibn Umar would append: "Labbayka wa Sa’dayka wal-Khayru bi Yadayka, wal-Raghba’u Ilayka wal-‘Amal."

(1) Statement on Preparation: It is recommended to cleanse oneself before Ihram. Perfume is allowed if its substance dissipates, though its scent may remain. Applying musk or ghaliyah (a fragrant paste) is also permitted. Fatawa Qadi Khan and Al-Bahr ar-Ra'iq confirm this.

(۱) قوله: إذا أراد إلخ ويستحب إزالة الشعثوالوسخ عنه بغسله بالخطمي والأشنان ونحوهما، ويَدَّهِنُ بأي دهن شاء، مطيبا كان أو غير مطيب، وأجمعوا على أنه يجوز التطيب قبل الإحرام بما لا يبقى عينه بعد الإحرام، وإن بقيت رائحته، وكذا التطيب بما يبقى عينه بعد الإحرام كالمسك والغالية عندنا لا يكره في الروايات الظاهرة. كذا في فتاوى قاضي خان، وهو الصحيح هكذا في المحيط»، ولا يجوز التطيب في الثوب بما يبقى عينه على قول الكل على إحدى الروايتين عنهما، قالوا: وبه نأخذ كذا في البحر الرائق». قاله في العالمكيرية».
