Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "On the day of Arafah, Allah descends to the lowest heaven and boasts to the angels about the pilgrims, saying, 'Look at My servants - they have come to Me disheveled, dusty, and exhausted from every deep valley. I call you to witness that I have forgiven them.' The angels say, 'O Lord, so-and-so is known for sinning, and so-and-so and so-and-so?' Allah says, 'I have forgiven them.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'There is no day on which more people are freed from the Fire than the day of Arafah.'"
