English

Adi ibn Umairah narrated: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “O people, whoever we appoint to a task among you and conceals from us even a needle or more, it is misappropriation, and he will come with it on the Day of Resurrection.” A man from the Ansar stood and said: “O Messenger of Allah, take back your task from me.” He said: “Why is that?” He said: “I heard you say such and such.” He said: “And I say that: Whoever we appoint to a task, let him bring its little and much. What he is given, he takes; what he is forbidden, he avoids.”
