Abdullah ibn Ja‘far (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) returned from a journey, he would be met by the children of his household. He returned from a journey, and I was brought to him first, so he carried me in front of him. Then one of Fatimah’s sons was brought, and he placed him behind him. He said: "Thus, we entered Madinah, three of us on one mount."

٣٨٥٧.وعن عبدالله بن جعفر رضي الله عنه قال: كان رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم اذا قدم من سفر ثُلُقِّيَ بِصِبْيَانِ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ، وَإِنَّهُ قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَسُبِقَ بِي إِلَيْهِ، فَحَمَلَنِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِأَحَدِ ابْنَيْ فَاطِمَةَ فَأَرْدَفَهُ خَلْفَهُ، قَالَ: فَأُدْخِلْنَا 1 الْمَدِينَةَ ثَلَاثَةً عَلَى دَابَّةٍ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

جب کسی سفر سے تشریف لاتے تو آپ ﷺ کے خاندان کے بچوں کو آپ ﷺ کے سامنے کیا جاتا۔
جب آپ ﷺ ایک سفر سے تشریف لائے تو مجھے آپ ﷺ کے سامنے بڑھایا گیا۔ آپ ﷺ نے مجھے
اپنے سامنے بٹھا لیا۔ پھر سیدہ فاطمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے دو صاحبزادوں میں سے کسی ایک کو لایا گیا تو
ان کو اپنے پیچھے بٹھا لیا۔ جب ہم مدینہ میں داخل ہوئے تین آدمی ایک سواری پر تھے۔9 (مسلم)

(1) The statement: "Thus, we entered Madinah, three of us on one mount": This Hadith indicates that it is permissible for three people to ride one mount if it can bear them. If it cannot, it is not permissible. As stated in (Badhl al-Majhud).
