From the same (may Allah be pleased with him), he narrated: I witnessed with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that if he did not fight at the beginning of the day, he would wait until the sun passed its zenith, the winds blew, and victory descended.

٣٨٧٤-وَعَنْهُ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ، فَكَانَ إِذَا لَمْ يُقَاتِلُ أَوَّلَ النَّهَارِانْتَظَرَ حَتى تَزُولَ الشَّمْسُ وَتَهُبَّ الرَّيَاحُ وَيَنْزِلَ النَّصْرُ. رَوَاهُ أَبُوْ دَاوُدَ.
