Ibn Abbas and Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade the “sharitah of the devil,” which Ibn Isa explained as a slaughter where the skin is cut without severing the jugular veins, then left to writhe until it dies.
