Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: I brought the Prophet (ﷺ) a bucket of Zamzam water, and he drank it standing. 1 [Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim]
Bukhari narrated from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): He prayed Zuhr, sat attending to people’s needs in Kufa’s courtyard until Asr, was brought water, washed his face and hands, mentioned his head and feet, then stood and drank the remainder, saying: “Some people dislike drinking standing, but the Prophet (ﷺ) did as I did.”

Note 1
(1) The statement: “He drank standing”: “Radd al-Muhtar,” quoting “Al-Siraj,” states: Drinking standing is not recommended except in two cases: Zamzam water and leftover wudu water. In Ibn al-Humam’s commentary on “Al-Hidayah”: It is from etiquette to drink leftover wudu water facing the Qiblah, standing or sitting as preferred.
