Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that Hind bint Utbah said: O Prophet of Allah, accept my pledge. He said: I will not accept your pledge until you change your hands, as they look like the paws 1 of a beast .

نہیں لوں گا یہاں تک کہ تم اپنے دونوں ہتھیلیوں کو بدل دو بس گویا کہ وہ درندہ کی ہتھیلیاں 1؎

(1) The statement: "as they look like the paws of a beast": He likened her undyed hands to the paws of a beast in terms of dislike, as they resemble men’s hands, and resembling men is disliked. This indicates the dislike of men dyeing their hands to resemble women. Thus, it is stated in Al-Mirqat.
