Sufyan ibn Asid Al-Hadrami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “It is a grave betrayal to speak to your brother a statement he believes to be true while you are lying to him.”

٤٦٣٩ - وَعَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ الْحَضْرَمِي (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: كَبُرَتْ خِيَانَةً أَنْ تُحَدِّثَ أَخَاكَ حَدِيثًا هُوَ لَكَ بِهِ مُصَدِّقٌ وَأَنْتَ لَهُ بِهِ كَاذِبٌ». رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ.

کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ بڑی خیانت کی بات ہے تم اپنے
بھائی سے کوئی ایسی بات بیان کرو کہ وہ تم کو سچا سمجھ رہا ہے اور تم اس کے ساتھ جھوٹ بول رہے ہو۔ (ابوداؤد)۔
