Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever defends his brother’s flesh from backbiting, it is Allah’s right to free him from the Fire.”

٤٧٧٩ - وَعَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ(رضي الله عنهما) قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مَنْ ذَبَّ عَنْ لَحْمِ أَخِيهِ بِالْمَغِيْبَةِ كَانَ حَقًّا لَهُ عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يُعْتِقَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شُعَبِ الْإِيْمَانِ».

سیدتنا اسماء بنت یزید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے، رسول اللہ
صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو شخص اپنے بھائی کے غائبانہ میں اس کی غیبت کرنے کو روکے گا
تو اللہ پر یہ حق ہے کہ اسے آگ سے آزاد کر دے۔ (بیہقی، شعب الایمان)۔
