Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever’s intention is to seek the Hereafter, Allah places contentment in his heart, gathers his affairs, and the world comes to him subdued. But whoever’s intention is to seek the world, Allah places poverty before his eyes, scatters his affairs, and he gets only what was decreed for him.”
