Zujajat al-Masabih 5373Volume 4

English

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The people of the Fire will be lined up, and a man from the people of Paradise will pass by them. One of them will say, ‘O so-and-so, do you not recognize me? I am the one 1 who gave you a drink.’ Another will say, ‘I am the one who gave you water for ablution.’ So he will intercede for him, and he will be admitted to Paradise.”

Note 1

I am the one who gave you a drink…

(1) His statement: “I am the one who gave you a drink…”: Al-Muzhir said: This encourages kindness to Muslims, especially to the righteous, keeping their company and loving them, for their love is an adornment in this world and a light in the Hereafter. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
