Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Every prophet has allies from among the prophets, and my ally is my father and the close friend of my Lord.” Then he recited: Indeed, the closest of people to Abraham are those who follow him, this Prophet, and those who believe. And Allah is the ally of the believers [Al-Imran: 68].

٥٥٤٣ - وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيَّ وَلَاةً مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ، وَإِنَّ وَلِي أَبِي وَخَلِيلُ رَبِّي». ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ﴿إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾ (آل عمران : ٦٨) . رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ.

حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے آپ نے کہا کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: انبیاء میں سے ہر نبی کے لئے بعض نبی قریب ہوتے ہیں اور مجھ
سے قریب میرے والد میرے رب کے خلیل ہیں پھر آپ نے آیت تلاوت فرمائی: ”إِنَّ أَوْلَى
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ“۔ (3-سورۃ آل عمران، آیت نمبر:68) لوگوں میں ابراہیم سے قریب تر وہ ہیں جو ان کی اتباع کئے
اور یہ نبی ہیں اور وہ لوگ ہیں جو ایمان لائے اور اللہ مومنین کا ولی ہے۔ (ترمذی)۔
