Zaid ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “O Allah, forgive the Ansar, their children 1, and the children of their children.”

٦٠١٩ - وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ، وَلِأَبْنَاءِ 1الْأَنْصَارِ، وَأَبْنَاءِ أَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ». رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اے اللہ انصار کی اور انصار کی اولاد کی (67) اور انصار کی
اولاد کی اولاد کی مغفرت فرما۔ (مسلم)

(1) The statement “their children”: Meaning their followers, so he prayed for the people of the three best generations. It is not unlikely that it refers to their descendants, even through intermediaries, until the Day of Resurrection. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)

(۱) قوله: ولأبناء الأنصار: وهم الأتباع، فدعا لأهل القرون الثلاثة التي هي خير القرون، ولا يبعد أن يراد به أبنائهم، ولو بوسائط إلى يوم القيامة. كذا في المرقاة».

(67) قوله: ولابناء الانصار. ابناء انصار سے مراد تابعین ہیں پس آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قرون ثلاثہ والوں کیلئے دعا فرمائی ہے جو خیر القرون ہیں۔ اور اس میں قیامت تک ان کی اولاد اگرچہ کئی واسطوں سے ہو مراد لینا بھی بعید نہیں ہے۔ (مرقات)
