Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: We used to obtain leather water containers from the spoils we took from the polytheists alongside the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). We would divide them among ourselves, and all of them were from animals that had died without being slaughtered. We would benefit from them.

٦٠٣ - وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: كُنَّا نُصِيْبُ مَعَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي مَغَانِمِنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ الْأَسْقِيَةَ فَنَقْتَسِمُهَا، وَكُلُّهَا مَيْتَةً، فَنَنْتَفِعُ بِذَلِكَ. رَوَاهُ الطَّحَاوِيُّ.
