It is narrated from Mujahid regarding the Iqamah being said once: "This is something that the rulers made light of." [Narrated by At-Tahawi]
Az-Zayla'i said in Tabyin Al-Haqa'iq: "Abu Al-Faraj said that the Iqamah used to be in pairs, but when the Umayyads came to power, they made it singular."

ف: امام زیلعی نے تبیین الحقائق میں وضاحت کی ہے کہ ابوالفرج کا قول ہے کہ اقامت کے الفاظ دو دو مرتبہ کہے جاتے تھے لیکن جب بنو اُمیہ کی حکومت آئی تو ان لوگوں نے اقامت کے الفاظ کو ایک ایک مرتبہ جاری کر دیا۔
