حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے آپ نے فرمایا کہ
حضرت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ہر انسان جب وہ پیدا ہوتا ہے تو شیطان اپنی
دو انگلیوں سے اس کے دونوں پہلو میں ٹھونسا مارتا ہے2 سوائے حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام کے وہ
ٹھونسا مارنے گیا تو وہ پردے میں ٹھونسا مارا۔ (بخاری و مسلم)۔

(1) His statement: “Satan touches”: The touch here means affliction. His statement: “in their sides with his finger” refers to the index and middle fingers. His statement: “except Jesus, son of Mary” is due to the supplication of her grandmother for her mother, saying: “I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her and her offspring from the accursed Satan” [Al Imran: 36]. His statement: “touched the placenta” means the touch fell on the membrane surrounding the child, so Jesus was unaffected by Satan’s touch. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)

(۱) قوله: يطعن الشيطان المراد هنا المس. وقوله: في جنبيه بأصبعيه أي السبابة والوسطى. وقوله: «غير عيسى بن مريم أي لدعوة حنته جدته في حق أمه بقولها: ﴿وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وَإِنِّي أُعِيدُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّحِيمِ (آل عمران: (٣٦). وقوله: فطعن في الحجاب أي فأوقع الطعن في المشيمة وهي ما فيه الولد، فلم يتأثر من مسه عیسى. كذا في «المرقاة».
