Chapter on The Obligation of Friday Prayer

Zujajat al-Masabih 1801Volume 1

English

Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) addressed us, saying: ‘O people, repent to Allah before you die, hasten to perform good deeds before you become preoccupied, and strengthen your connection with your Lord by frequently remembering Him and giving charity in secret and openly. You will be provided for, supported, and compensated. Know that Allah has made Friday prayer obligatory for you in this place, on this day, in this month, and in this year until the Day of Resurrection. Whoever neglects it during my lifetime or after my death—whether under a just or unjust ruler—out of disregard or denial, Allah will not unite his affairs, nor bless his matters. Indeed, his prayers, charity, Hajj, fasting, and good deeds will not be accepted until he repents. Whoever repents, Allah will accept his repentance.’"
