Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The last funeral prayer the Prophet (ﷺ) performed consisted of four takbirs. Umar performed four takbirs over Abu Bakr, Ibn Umar performed four takbirs over Umar, Hasan ibn Ali performed four takbirs over Ali, Husayn ibn Ali performed four takbirs over Hasan, and the angels performed four takbirs over Adam."

٢١٠٧ - وَعَن ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ (رضي الله عنهما) قَالَ: آخِرُ مَا كَبَّرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى الْجَنَائِزِ أَرْبَعَ تَكَبِيرَاتٍ، وَكَبَّرَ عُمَرُ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَرْبَعًا، وَكَبَّرَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ عَلَى عُمَرَ أَرْبَعًا، وَكَبَّرَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلَيَّ عَلَى عَلَيَّ أَرْبَعًا، وَكَبَّرَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلَيَّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ أَرْبَعًا، وَكَبَّرَتْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عَلَى آدَمَ أَرْبَعًا. رَوَاهُ الْحَاكِمُ فِي الْمُسْتَدْرَكِ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي سُنَنِهِ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ.
