Al-Muzani reported from Al-Shafi’i from Sufyan from Talhah ibn Yahya from his aunt Aisha bint Talhah from Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ), that she said, "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered upon me, and I said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, we have saved some hais for you.' He said, 'I intended to fast, but bring it to me, and I will fast another day in its place.'" [Narrated by Al-Tahawi] The author of Al-Urf al-Shadhi said, "The chain is extremely authentic." Al-Bayhaqi narrated it in his Sunan al-Kubra from the chain of Al-Tahawi, and in his book Al-Ma’rifah as well. Nasa’i narrated it in Al-Kubra, and Al-Daraqutni narrated it in his Sunan.

اس کی روایت طحاوی نے کی ہے اور صاحب العرف الشذی نے کہا ہے کہ اس کی سند نہایت صحیح ہے اور ”بیہقی“ نے بھی اس حدیث کی اپنی ”سنن کبیر“ اور ”المعرفۃ“ میں ان ہی اسناد سے روایت کی ہے جیسا کہ امام طحاوی نے روایت کی ہے۔ اور ”نسائی“ نے بھی اس کی روایت ”سنن کبریٰ“ میں اور ”دارقطنی“ نے اپنی ”سنن“ میں اس کی روایت کی ہے۔
