Chapter: Seeking Forgiveness and Repentance

Zujajat al-Masabih 2807Volume 2

English

Safwan ibn Assal (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Allah the Exalted has placed a gate in the west, the width of seventy years’ journey, for repentance. It will not be closed until the sun rises from its direction. That is the meaning of Allah’s words: ‘The day when some of the signs of your Lord will come, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before.’ (Al-An’am 6:158)"
