Chapter: Seeking Refuge

Zujajat al-Masabih 2924Volume 2

English

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, senility, debt, and sin. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell, the trials of Hell, the trials of the grave, and the punishment of the grave. I seek refuge in You from the trial of wealth, the trial of poverty, and the trial of the False Messiah. O Allah, wash away my sins with snow and hail, purify my heart as a white garment is purified from filth, and distance me from my sins as You have distanced the East from the West."
