عمرو بن شعیب اپنے والد سے اور وہ ان کے دادا سے اور وہ سراقہ بن مالک
رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر
ہوا جب کہ آپﷺ باپ کا بیٹے سے قصاص لینے اور بیٹے کا باپ سے قصاص نہ لینے کا حکم فرما رہے

(1) His statement: “He exacted retribution from a father for his son”: Meaning, he took retribution for him. Retribution is retaliation. “But did not exact retribution from a son for his father.” They said: The wisdom in this is that the parent is the cause of the child’s existence, so it is not permissible for him to be the cause of their non-existence. So it is in (Al-Luma’at).
