It is narrated from Abdullah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The ears are part of the head." [Narrated by Ibn Majah, and a similar narration is narrated by Daraqutni from Ibn Abbas]
Ibn Al-Qattan said: "Its chain of narration is authentic due to its continuity and the reliability of its narrators." Al-Zayla’i said: "This is the strongest chain of narration in this topic."

٤٢٦ - وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الله قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «الْأَذْنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ». رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَه. وَرَوَى الدَّارَ قُطْنِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَا مِثْلَهُ.
قَالَ ابْنُ الْقَطَّانِ: إِسْنَادُهُ صَحِيحُ؛ لاتَّصَالِهِ وَثِقَةِ رُوَاتِهِ. وَقَالَ الزَّيْلَعِيُّ: هَذَا أَمْثَلُ إِسْنَادًا فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ.
