Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “While a man was strutting in two cloaks, pleased with himself, the earth swallowed him, and he will continue to sink in it until the Day of Resurrection.”

٤٥٥١ - وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي بُرْدَيْنِ وَقَدْ أَعْجَبَتْهُ نَفْسُهُ، خُسِفَ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اس اثناء میں کہ ایک شخص دو چادروں میں اکڑ کر چل رہا تھا اور اس کا نفس
اس کو بہت پسند آیا تھا اس کو زمین میں دھنسا دیا گیا۔ پس وہ قیامت تک دھنستے ہی رہے گا۔ (متفق علیہ)۔
