Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (ﷺ): Jesus son of Mary saw a man stealing. Jesus son of Mary said to him: “Did you steal?” He said: “No, by the One besides Whom there is no god.” Jesus said: “I believe in Allah and disbelieve my self.”

٤٨٣٥ – وَعَنْهُ (رضي الله عنه) ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ : رَأَى عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَجُلًا يَسْرِقُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عِيسَى بْنُ مَرْيَمَ: سَرَقْتَ؟ قَالَ: كَلَّا، وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، فَقَالَ عِيسَى: آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَكَذَّبْتُ نَفْسِي». رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

انہی سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے
ارشاد فرمایا: عیسیٰ بن مریم نے ایک شخص کو چوری کرتے ہوئے دیکھا، تو عیسیٰ بن مریم نے اس سے فرمایا:
تو نے چوری کی، اس نے کہا: ہرگز نہیں قسم اس ذات کی جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، تو عیسیٰ علیہ السلام
نے فرمایا: میں اللہ تعالیٰ پر ایمان لایا اور اپنے نفس کو جھٹلایا۔ (مسلم)۔
